Intel Core Ultra 7 268V Benchmark Scores Spotted on Geekbench

Just a couple of days ago, we learned that Intel is planning to release the second generation of their Core Ultra series processors very soon, likely in September of this year. Now, we have the benchmark results of one of the processors from this series listed on Geekbench.

Not only that, the listings also reveal several key features of the processor. The processor in question is the Intel Core Ultra 7 268V, a part of Intel’s upcoming Lunar Lake lineup. We will discuss this processor in this article in detail.

Intel Core Ultra 7 268V — Key Specifications

The Intel Core Ultra 7 268V of the Lunar Lake series features eight CPU cores, divided into two clusters having four cores each. Four of these cores are the performance cores (Lion Cove). The other four are low-powered efficiency cores (Skymont). Coming to the graphics, the chip comes with the Intel Arc A140V card, which sports 8 Xe2 cores.

Both the listings (1,2) found on Geekbench mention the base frequency of the CPU to be 3.3 GHz, while the maximum frequency it touched was just under 4.9 GHz. The boost frequency on this chip should reach 5 GHz.

The GPU frequency, on the other hand, could reportedly touch 2 GHz. From what it looks like, this particular chip is not the flagship product of its series. This also aligns with recent reports.

If we look at the Geekbench listings, the Intel Core Ultra 268V manages to score a bit above 2700 points in the single-core test. It also reaches around 10000 points in the multi-core test.

Something worth mentioning here is that the benchmark was run on a system with 32GB of memory. Note that the chip in question is a pre-production unit and has not yet reached the public. The scores may vary with the finalized product.

When is Intel Launching this Processor? As stated in our recent post, Intel is planning to unveil its second-generation Core Ultra chips as early as September. This may happen right before the Intel Innovation 2024 event, which is scheduled for September 24 and 25. We can expect to see some announcements or teasers around mid-September.
